The Dictaphone Connexions recorder offers a full range of dictation and transcription controls and capabilities along with superior sound quality. The unit includes an LCD four-digit counter with indicators for Q-Alert indexing tones and Vox.

The 2730 functions as a standalone unit and, for expanded functionality, it can be connected to a Connexions display module, to another recorder (for use with different media), and/or to a Connexions system telephone and computer with Network Manager software.

With a Connexions telephone attached, the recorder acquires telephone answering capability. WIth the telephone and computer attached, the Connexions system becomes a network environment that provides dictation directory management, dictation/transcription monitoring and automatic call answering.

To benefit both the dictator and transcriptionist, the display module separates recorded information into four customer-selected job categories and provides a running count by category of the number of jobs on a tape. The window display shows time, date, Author ID and length of dictation. The display module operates with or without a Connexions telephone and computer.
