I'm currently a dictation transcriptionist and the DS-9000 really does work! I've been using it for the past few months and very happy with it. I use it on a daily basis, and I've never had a problem with it. I've only used it in the office, so I can't comment on its performance in other environments. Overall, I love the clarity of the recording and the fact that it comes with the CR-21 cradle.
