Olympus RS-27H Foot Pedal Switch
Replacement Foot Pedal for the Olympus RS-27.
Also known as Olympus 147036.
The Olympus RS27H footswitch is offered as a replacement foot pedal for the one supplied with the AS-2000 series, AS-3000 series, AS-4000 series, AS-5000 series, AS-7000 series and AS-9000 Transcription kits. Control playback, FF and REW without taking your fingers off of the keyboard!
The Olympus RS-27H USB foot pedal is designed for ease of use whether you are transcribing or dictating hands free.
Please note the RS-27H does not come with DSS software required to utilize this footswitch. If you need DSS software with footswitch functionality we recommend you purchase the AS-9000 Transcription kit or AS-9002 Transcription software. Both contain a version of the DSS software that has footswitch functionality, the AS-9000 comes with RS-31H footswitch, and the E-102 headset. The AS9000 kit is recommended for business transcription. The Olympus AS-9000 is designed to be integrated into the workflow of any office system to significantly streamline data sharing and distribution of dictations between professionals, departments and office locations. Automatic dictation routing via email and FTP, Full support for Citrix and Terminal Service and Multiple format playback DSS, DSS Pro, WMA, MP3 and WAV/AIFF audio formats can be played in the background when another application – such as word processing software – is running.
Olympus Hands-Free Dictation Operation.
The RS-27H footswitch can be connected to the serial or USB port of a PC for hands-free transcription convenience.
For hands-free dictation, it can be connected directly to a with DS-9500 / DS-9000 together with the docking cradle CR-21, DS-7000 / DS-7000IT together with the docking cradle CR-15, DS-5000iD / DS-5000 together with the docking cradle CR-10 or with DS-4000 and DS-3300 together with the docking cradle CR-3A. Via the footswitch Record, Play, Stop, Reverse, Save and Create New File can be controlled.

The RS-27H can be used with third-party applications as well as proprietary Olympus DSS Player software.
This HID footswitch has two operation modes: one that supports the ODMS software, and a second mode, which supports standard USB keyboard operation.
- If you are using an Olympus application (ODMS, DSS Player Pro, Sonority) use this product in Olympus mode which is the default mode.

This will make the Olympus RS-27H computer transcription foot pedal appear like an Olympus RS-25 computer transcription foot pedal allowing you to use your current transcription software and will eliminate the need to upgrade to the current transcription software kits made by Olympus.
