I have been purchasing PowerMic cords from TVPS for years. Their service is always good. The cords even include installation tools!

Replace the cable, not the microphone!

Posted by Jeffrey D. Coe, MD on Jul 12th 2019

About 6 months of fairly heavy usage, my PowerMic III began to fail and then suddenly quit working altogether. I was extremely disappointed to find out that the Nuance warranty lasted only 90 days and that no extended warranty option was available. Fortunately, the vendor that supplied our practice with Dragon Medical One and our PowerMic III microphones (MIST) kindly provided me with the gently used PowerMic III microphone at no cost. They did not ask me to shift the defective microphone back. I tucked the microphone away for several months until I learned that ECS provided an inexpensive option to replace the cable which is the failure point for the PowerMic III 90% of the time. I ordered the cable, installed it and now I have a second, perfectly-working PowerMic III.
